Pixel neutralizes its carbon emissions by planting trees.

How we do that?

The main sources of carbon emission in our office are:

1. electricity consumption
2. employees transportation to Pixel
3. business travels

To compensate for this carbon generation we hire the NGO A Iniciativa Verde.

They provide us with an online calculator to find out the amount of CO2 generated by our business. By doing so it is possible to estimate the amount of trees needed to compensate that quantity of carbon emitted (remembering school: trees do photosynthesis, which consume CO2 and liberate O2). A Inicitiva Verde will then plant those trees in a nearby region, granting us the Carbon Free seal.

We also incentivize our employees to compensate for their private carbon emissions, as well as to recycling garbage at home.

Garbage recycling

At Pixel we recycle! Paper is the material that we most send to recycling, but we also recycle metal (basically cans) and glass. Our wasted batteries are sent to a proper recycling supplier, in order not to pollute the environment.
